Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and passionate Meat Market Manager to lead our team of butchers and meat specialists. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the meat industry, with a deep understanding of cuts, preparation, and cooking methods. This role will involve overseeing day-to-day operations of the meat department, managing inventory, ensuring product quality, and driving sales growth—all while providing leadership to a dedicated team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of butchers and meat specialists. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging continuous improvement and professional growth.
Product Expertise: Utilize your deep knowledge of meat cuts, sourcing, preparation, and cooking techniques to guide customers and staff. Ensure that every team member has the training and resources to deliver expert advice to customers.
Customer Service Excellence: Provide exceptional service by engaging with customers, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a personalized shopping experience.
Inventory and Stock Management: Oversee the daily operation of the meat department, ensuring that products are fresh, stocked, and properly rotated. Manage ordering and inventory to meet customer demand and minimize waste.
Quality Control and Safety: Ensure all meat products meet company and regulatory standards for quality, freshness, and safety. Conduct regular inspections and enforce health and safety regulations.
Sales and Marketing: Work with the store’s leadership team and divsion supportto develop promotional strategies, drive sales, and introduce new products to meet customer demand. Utilize your expertise to create displays and drive interest in the department.
Training and Development: Provide ongoing training on product knowledge, cutting techniques, and customer service. Help your team stay up-to-date on industry trends, new cuts, and seasonal offerings.
